ACCA Online Sessions

Do you have an employee interested in starting ACCA but they need some guidance before signing up for a course?

The ACCA are providing FREE online sessions for any prospective students looking for further information on how to progress their careers. These sessions will be aimed at those currently in employment or with a job offer.

Please see below for a list of upcoming dates. All sessions are held at 12:30.

• 26 February '14
• 6 March '14

What will the session include?
The sessions will provide a very useful overview of the ACCA qualification, giving information on exemptions, entry routes and how to sign up, and will incorporate some first-hand information on why others have chosen ACCA as their next step.

The session will last no longer than 30 minutes and will provide an opportunity for those attending to ask questions.

CIMA launch the Higher Apprenticeship in Management Accounting

Following in the footsteps of the AAT, ACCA, ICAEW and the Tax institutes CIMA will be launching their own apprenticeship in September. Kaplan will be providing the courses to accompany the apprenticeship. Apprentices will study towards the Certificate of Business Accounting which will take a minimum of 12 months and incorporate Business Maths, Economic, Law, Ethics, Financial and Management accounting basics. New ACCA Competency Framework

The ACCA Competency Framework is an online, interactive tool which demonstrates the different competencies developed through all elements of the ACCA Qualification (exams, ethics module and experience requirement) and links these competencies to jobs in finance. It is a valuable tool to illustrate how ACCA members are complete finance professional and have a comprehensive skills set to work in a variety of accounting and finance roles. You can view it here.
